A message from our president...
Welcome to the Rotary Club of Southcenter, WA website. I am pleased to be serving our club in our 41st year of club service. This year's Rotary theme, "The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands" is appropriate for our Southcenter club.
Our diversified membership includes a great group of active business and community leaders in their respective fields. We are "doers" as well as contributors to both our local and world communities. Our local hands-on efforts include Rotary First Harvest, Habitat for Humanity, the Rock & Roll Marathon, distributing dictionaries to elementary school children, sponsorship of a local Rotary Interact Club at Aviation High School, and many other programs involving our local youth, seniors and others in need of a helping hand. We also provide more than one dozen scholarships annually to college bound high school seniors from three area high schools.
Internationally, we are staunch supporters of Rotary's Polio Plus campaign, a joint effort of several prominent organizations to eradicate polio forever, as well as health, literacy and clean water projects in Africa and Latin America. We have great fun and camaraderie as we work hard to serve, and we would enjoy getting acquainted with you. We can always use another set of hands to help make our world a better place for all of us to live. Becoming a member of the Rotary Club of Southcenter will enrich your life.
